For this project, I used a Martini Glass narrative visualization structure. I began with author-driven content for the first 3 scenes (specifically including only statistics that I thought best determined which player was the most valuable to his team) and ended with reader-driven content by allowing the reader to compare the top performers this year based on other metrics that were in the dataset.
Scenes: In the third scene, I provided a basic table with the rankings for the 3 MVP finalists (as announced by the NBA) across all players in the 3 statistics that I used in scenes 1 and 2. I also gave an overall ranking by combining the rankings in those 3 categories for each finalist. This scene is the "jumping off" point of the Martini Glass structure as I've presented my findings and prepare the reader to make their own conclusions in the next scene.
Annotations: The overall rank column serves as an annotation to present the conclusion of this study.
Parameters: The parameter for this scene is the revealing of this text. Also, the text in the navigation bar indicates what scene the reader is currently in.
